About Us
Neurological Surgery, P.C. is one of the New York City area’s premier Neurosurgical Groups. We offer patients the most advanced treatments of brain and spine disorders, using minimally invasive procedures like Stereotactic Radiosurgery, Microdiscectomy, Kyphoplasty, and X-STOP® procedures, rather than major surgery, whenever feasible.
Our physicians are highly educated and specially trained. They provide compassion combined with knowledge and experience. They are recognized in the medical community by their appointments as Chiefs of Neurosurgery in some of Long Island’s best hospitals.
We now have nine convenient Long Island neurosurgery facilities in Nassau and Suffolk Counties with proximity to Queens, Brooklyn, the Bronx and Manhattan.

| 2009 | Dr. Mihai Dimancescu rejoined the practice after a brief hiatus. In addition, Dr. David Chang, Dr. Alan Ettinger, Dr. Scott Uretsky Dr. Gad Klein and Dr. Marat Avshalumov also joined the practice. |
| 2010 | Neurophysiologist, Dr. Joseph Moreira, Endovascular Neuroradiologist, Dr John Pile-Spellman and Neuro-intensivist Ivan Mikolaenko, M.D., F.A.A.N. joined our practice in 2010. |
| 2011 | Dr. Robert N. Holtzman, board certified in neurosurgery as well as in psychiatry and neurology, Dr. Stephen T. Onesti, neurosurgeon specializing in spine surgery and Dr. Kern, specializing in complex spine, and brain and spine trauma, joined our practice in Spring - Summer of 2011. In Fall of 2011, Dr Shah, a neurosurgeon specializing in spinal surgery and Dr Dadashev, specializing in the treatment of degenerative diseases of the spine and spine tumors, joined the practice. |
| 2012 | Dr. John A. Grant, a board certified neurosurgeon who specializes in pediatric neurosurgery, and has an interest in vascular neurosurgery and epilepsy surgery joined our practice. |
