Robert J Mascarelli RPA-C, is board certified by the National Commission
on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
In addition, he is licensed and registered with
the State of New York. Robert is the Director of Physician Assistants
for Neurological Surgery, P.C. (NSPC) He offers
his services as a Physician Assistant with many
community hospitals throughout Nassau and Suffolk
Counties.
Mr. Mascarelli received his undergraduate degree
in Biochemistry from the State University of
New York (SUNY) at Stony Brook in 2000 and later
graduated from the Physician Assistant Program
at Stony Brook in 2002. While at SUNY Stony
Brook Mr. Mascarelli offered his services as
a volunteer EMT for the University Ambulance
Corp. In 2001 Mr. Mascarelli was selected by
his peers to be a representative for the Constituent
Chapter Officers Workshop (CCOW) to introduce
legislative issues to officers from the student
chapter of the AAPA in Washington, D.C.
Mr. Mascarelli was initially employed by the
Department of Neurosurgery at Winthrop University
Hospital, Mineola NY in 2002. Mr. Mascarelli
enhanced his skill base and endovascular neurosurgical
understanding and surgical techniques by pursuing
employment at St. Lukes – Roosevelt Hospital
and at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York
City. Mr. Mascarelli joined NSPC in 2006.

Michael J Dawson |
Michael Dawson is a graduate of the NYC Pace/Lenox Hill Hospital PA Program and has been a NYS registered and certified physician assistant since late 2000.
He began his neurosurgical experience in March 2001 by joining North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, NY. He gained experience in pre- and post-operative management, ICU care, and intraoperative first assisting duties. In 2004 he completed a Master's degree program from Alderson-Broaddus College, West Virginia. His unpublished thesis was concerning pediatric ventricular shunt failure. In February 2007 he joined Neurological Surgery, P.C.,NSPC, working mainly at South Nassau Communities Hospital, although he maintains privileges at a dozen other Long Island hospitals.
Michael has been specially trained by NSPC's neurovascular team to assist endovascular procedures including clot retrieval for acute stroke victims. In November 2011, he joined the adjunct staff for NYIT's Physician Assistant Master’s Program teaching neurology. |

Erin V. Yodice, RPA-C |
Erin
V. Yodice RPA-C, is board certified
by the National Commission on Certification
of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) In addition,
she is licensed and registered with the State
of New York.
Ms.Yodice received her Bachelor of Science degree
summa cum laude from the State University of
New York (SUNY) at Stony Brook in 2005 with
a major in Health Science. While at SUNY Stony
Brook, Ms. Yodice served as an EMT for their
Volunteer Ambulance Corps. She was a member
of Sigma Beta Honor Society. She went on to
further her education by obtaining a Masters
Degree from the Physician Assistant Program
at SUNY Stony Brook in 2007.
Ms. Yodice obtained clinical
training and experience in the field of Neurosurgery
at Stony Brook University Hospital and Winthrop
University Hospital. She
joined Neurological Surgery, P.C. (NSPC) in
2007, where her abilities and understanding
of Neurosurgery have made her a formidable asset
to the NSPC team. Ms. Yodice continues to offer
her services at a number of hospitals throughout
Nassau County. |

Farina I. Sial RPA-C, MBA |
Farina I. Sial RPA-C, MBA is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). In addition, she is licensed and registered with the State of New York.
Ms. Sial completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Missouri, Columbia, MO and then went to Touro College, NY to receive her Bachelor of Science Degree as a Physician Assistant in 2000. While at the University of Missouri, Ms. Sial served as an EMT and Unit Clerk for the Emergency Department at the University Medical Center. She was also a member of the Honor Society. She went on to further her education by obtaining a Masters Degree in Business, with a concentration in Hospital Management, from Hofstra University in 2011.
Ms. Sial obtained her clinical training and experience in the field of Critical Care from Metropolitan Hospital, NY, an affiliate of Valhalla Medical College, NY during her first employment and than was recruited to join Neurotrauma ICU at University of Texas, in 2003. She subsequently moved back to Long Island, NY and was employed at North Shore University Hospital for several years, where she enhanced her skill base in Neurocritical and Vascular Neurosurgery. She joined Neurological Surgery, P.C. (NSPC) in 2008. |

Michelle Zahra (Nielsen) RPA-C, MPAS |
Michelle Zahra RPA-C, MPAS is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, and is licensed and registered in the State of New York. Michelle started her undergraduate studies at Quinnipiac University and completed her Bachelor's of Health Science and Physician Assistant Studies at Touro College of Health Sciences. Michelle then obtained a Masters Degree of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska.
Michelle has been practicing as a Physician Assistant since 2005 in Nassau and Suffolk counties. Her career began in the fields of Emergency Medicine and Family Practice, which provided a well rounded approach to medicine and helped her current work with neurosurgery. Michelle has been employed by Winthrop Hospital within the sub specialty of Neurosurgery and Neuroscience since 2008. She joined Neurological Surgery P.C (NSPC) in 2009. |

Mr. Lee graduated from the Physician Assistant Program at Stony Brook in 2002. Jimmy is working primarily in Emergency Medicine in various emergency rooms on Long Island and in Queens. He joined NSPC in 2009. |

Nicholas Strippoli is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). He is licensed and registered with the State of New York.Mr. Strippoli is an active member of both New York State Society of Physician Assistants and American Academy of Physician Assistants.
Nicholas graduated from Hofstra University with a baccalaureates degreein Biochemistry. In 2000 Mr. Strippoli graduated summa cum laude in Physician Assisting from D’Youville Collage in Buffalo, NY.
His physician assistant training began at NYU Medical Center in the Department of Neurosurgery.Following his training at NYU, Mr.Strippoli obtained employment at St. Francis Hospital, Roslyn, NY and began his training in cardiothoracic surgery and Critical Care. In 2009 Nicholas returned to Neurosurgery with Neurological Surgery, P.C., and is credentialed at most of the community hospitals in Nassau County.

Mrs. Rahmani has been practicing as a PA for the last 9 years. She joined the NSPC team in 2010 and provides services to many of the hospitals in Nassau county.

Keith
M. Burger, RPA-C, is board certified
by the National Commission on Certification
of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and has achieved
special recognition in Surgery. In addition,
he is licensed and registered with the State
of New York. Keith is the Chief Physician
Assistant in Suffolk County for Neurological
Surgery, P.C. (NSPC) with privileges at Good
Samaritan Hospital Medical Center, Huntington
Hospital and St. Catherine of Siena Medical
Center.
Mr. Burger received his undergraduate
degree in Psychology from the State University
of New York (SUNY) at Stony Brook in 1994 and
later graduated magna cum laude from the Physician
Assistant Program at New York Institute of Technology
(NYIT) in 2002. While at NYIT, he was inducted
as a member of the Nu Ypsilon Tau Honor Society
and achieved the Presidential Honor List.
His professional career as
an Allied Healthcare Provider initially involved
work in Advanced Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine
before it later evolved to Neurosurgery. Relevant
neurosurgical experience was obtained at the
Nassau University Medical Center, Nassau County’s
busiest Level I trauma center, primarily under
the guidance of Dr. Donald S. Krieff. He served
there as the Chief Physician Assistant for the
Division of Neurosurgery for approximately 4
years prior to joining NSPC. |

Michelle Morrison RPA-C |
Michele Morrison RPA-C is board certified by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is licensed and registered in New York.
Michele started her undergraduate studies at Farmingdale State University in 2001, than transferred to Touro School of Health Science in Bay Shore, where she completed her undergraduate studies and successfully completed the PA program. She graduated in 2006.
Her career began at North Shore LIJ in the department of Urology, where her knowledge of medicine and critical care grew. She than transferred to North Shore Southside in 2009 and joined the Neurosurgical department. While at Southside her neurosurgical training, knowledge and OR first-assist developed and advanced. She was also part of the trauma team covering neurosurgical patients.
In the fall of 2010 she joined NSPC. Initially she worked with one of NSPC's complex spine surgeons. In the fall of 2011 she transferred to Eastern Suffolk to one of NSPC's new offices. She covers multiple Eastern Suffolk hospitals as well as keeping privileges in many Nassau Hospitals. |

Jaime Aubel, RPA-C is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and is licensed and registered with the State of New York. She is also FCCS, ACLS & BLS certified.
Ms. Aubel graduated from Nassau Community College with an Associates degree in Math & Science in 2000. She went on to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Physician Assistant Studies at St. John's University in 2003. In addition to her experience as a Neurosurgical PA, Ms. Aubel has worked in General Surgery, with experience in many surgical subspecialties. She also has experience in Critical Care and Neurosurgical Critical Care, and was trained in Neurosurgical Critical Care at Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, NY.
Ms. Aubel has been practicing as a PA for the last 8 years. She joined the NSPC team in March of 2011 and provides services to many of the hospitals in Nassau and Suffolk county. |

Jaclyn Hunter RPA-C is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) In addition, she is licensed and registered with the State of New York.
Ms. Hunter received her Bachelor of Science degree from Stonehill College in Massachusetts with a major in Biology and a minor in Psychology in 2006. Ms. Hunter was also a member of the Honors Program and active participant in her pre-med society. Ms. Hunter furthered her medical education with a post-baccalaureate certification in Medical Sciences at Drexel University, Hahnemann Hospital Campus before obtaining her masters in Physician Assistant studies at New York Institute of Technology in May 2010. It was there that Ms. Hunter was able to receieve training through Cornell University in the field of Neurosurgery. Ms. Hunter joined NSPC upon graduation. |

Nicole Ferrantelli RPA-C |
Nicole Ferrantelli RPA-C is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). In addition, she is licensed and registered with the State of New York.
Ms. Ferrantelli obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology at the University of Hartford in 2003. During her undergraduate work, she was inducted into the National Medical Technology Honor Society, Lambda Tau.
In 2006, she graduated from Touro College with a Bachelors of Science in Physician Assistant Studies.
Ms. Ferrantelli was then accepted into the Postgraduate Residency in Surgery for Physician Assistants at Montefiore Medical Center and The Albert Einstein College of Medicine. During her residency, she was active with the American Association of Surgical Physician Assistants. At that time, she was elected as the Resident Director-At-Large, the first to hold this position. After her residency, Ms. Ferrantelli accepted a position in Norwich, CT. There she worked with an Orthopedic Spine surgeon, specializing in pediatric and adult deformities. Ms. Ferrantelli joined NSPC in 2011 and provides services to Suffolk County hospitals. |

Diana L. Gasparro, RPA-C is board certified by the National Commission on certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). In addition, she is licensed and registered with the State of New York. Diana received the Dean’s Scholarship to St. Joseph’s College, where she obtained her undergraduate degree. She majored in Psychology and Sociology. She then completed the Physician Assistant Program at Touro College in 2011.
While in college, Diana volunteered at the oncology department at Good Samaritan Hospital as well as at several nursing home facilities. Not only did this give Diana a good grasp of the healthcare field, but also showed her the crucial need for empathy towards patients who are sick.
She also has experience as a Pain Management PA, where she learned an interdisciplinary approach for easing the suffering and improving the quality of life of those living with pain. Diana joined NSPC in 2012 and provides services mainly in Spine Surgery at the office, and at Winthrop University Hospital, Mineola, N.Y. |

Ms. Kimberly Prabhu is a clinical research professional certified by the Society of Clinical Research Associates. Prior to assuming her current position, she served as a Consultant to the Institutional Review Board at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn , New York , where she also spent time as Director of Urology Research. She has been a study coordinator for numerous investigations in a variety of specialties for nearly a decade. Ms. Prabhu has presented at medical meetings, and has been published in professional journals, including the Journal of Men’s Health.
