STATE-OF-THE-ART TREATMENT OPTIONS
NSPC offers some of the most advanced surgical approaches and innovative treatment options for spine and brain conditions.
Neurosurgeon Dr. Tessler was among the first in metro New York to perform surgery on brain tumors using a new advanced handheld CO2 (carbon dioxide) laser. Under skilled hands, this minimally invasive device can reach small, difficult-to-reach spaces within the brain while lowering the risk of damage to the surrounding tissue.
The Great Neck Stand-Up MRI is an innovative imaging technique that offers important advances over the standard MRI. With this new approach, patients can be scanned while sitting back and watching television for added comfort—especially for those who are heavy set or don’t like confined spaces.
NSPC employs Ultrasound and Radiofrequency Technology advancements instead of laser spine surgery. Ultrasound and radiofrequency technology, unlike laser spine surgery that must remove soft tissues to reach the bone, provides minimally invasive back surgery techniques to affect the bone, along with the ability to decompress nerves and reduce blood loss.
The experienced surgeons at NSPC use stereotactic radiosurgery treatments that include leading-edge procedures such as Gamma Knife, CyberKnife and Novalis Tx for state-of-the-art brain and spine treatments.
