Vladimir Y. Dadashev M.D.

About Dr. Dadashev

Vladimir Y. Dadashev, M.D., is a spine neurosurgeon who specializes in the comprehensive treatment of the spine. He treats patients with conditions of cervical, lumbar, and thoracic spinal disc herniation, stenosis, sciatica, spinal instability, and neck or back pain.

Dr. Dadashev puts great emphasizes on exhausting nonsurgical routes and alternatives first. And only when nonoperative modalities fail he chooses to proceed with a surgery. He uses advanced minimally invasive approaches, from minimally invasive microdiscectomies to minimally invasive spinal fusions when appropriate. He’s a big believer in preserving motion, tissue sparing, and maintaining natural alignment of the spine. He’s a big advocate in use of a cervical disc replacement (arthroplasty) to preserve motion. He makes great effort to follow patients very closely immediately after the surgery and ensures the patients’ a successful recovery.

He also employs innovative techniques such as Spine Neuro-Endoscopy and 3-D Navigation. Spine endoscopy is the minimally invasive procedure in which, through a small dime-size incision, an endoscope is passed and a minimally micro-discectomy is performed or a deep-seated tumor can be removed. 3-D navigation uses intraoperative scans, and a technology similar to GPS, to allow neurosurgeons like Dr. Dadashev to visualize the complex anatomy of the patient’s spine in 3D and visualize the placement of surgical instrumentation throughout the procedure.

In addition to minimally invasive surgeries, Dr. Dadashev also performs traditional open laminectomies and spinal fusions, when necessary. Dr. Dadashev also has a strong interest and experience in the treatment of spine trauma, fractures, infections, and spine tumors, benign or metastatic.

Dr. Dadashev is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgery (AANS) and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS).
