ROCKVILLE, CENTRE, NY – Vladimir Dadashev, M.D. and Sachin N. Shah, M.D., both neurosurgeons specializing in the spine, have joined NSPC Brain & Spine Surgery (NSPC) (NSPC). With offices throughout New York’s Queens, Nassau and Suffolk Counties, NSPC is one of the Northeast’s largest private practices of leading neurosurgeons and allied specialists.

Dr. Dadashev’s practice focuses on degenerative diseases of the spine and spine tumors, using both minimally invasive and traditional open approaches for the surgical treatment of spinal stenosis, sciatica, disc herniation, fractures, spinal instability, and back pain.  Among the treatments he uses are kyphoplasty, microdiscectomy and spinal fusion.  He also treats brain tumors, employing such innovative techniques as 3-D navigation and neuro-endoscopy.

Dr. Shah performs complex and revision spine surgery to treat conditions such as adult scoliosis, spinal deformities, spinal cord tumors and malformations. He utilizes minimally invasive spine procedures such as kyphoplasty and microdiscectomy.  He is trained to perform cervical laminoplasty as an alternative to spinal fusion.

Dr. Shah received his medical degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine, and he completed his internship and residency in neurological surgery at Emory University Hospital, Atlanta.  He also completed a spine fellowship at the University of Miami. He has written numerous articles and book chapters and presented extensively. He speaks fluent Hindi and Gujarati.

Dr. Dadashev received his medical degree with High Distinction from Wayne State University School of Medicine, Detroit, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Society (AOA), junior selection, and was “Surgery Student of the Year” award nominee.  He completed both his internship and residency in the Department of Neurosurgery, Emory University School of Medicine, where he served as chief resident in his final year. Dr. Dadashev has presented extensively, and has authored numerous articles and book chapters.  He is fluent in Russian.
